Who we are

The portal www. SolarniNovinky.cz (or SolarNews), which was established by Mr. Jaroslav Dorda in 2010, is an internet source of specialized data focused on publication of news and technology developments in photovoltaics & energy storage in the Czech and Slovak Republics. The portal offers updated information on the developments in those fields.

Due to our unique standing as a specialized PV medium our information service is sought-after and read by Czech&Slovak solar Professional (solar installers, merchant, developers, designes and integrators) as well as by the general public interested in the photovoltaics.

About the Founder

Mr. Jaroslav Dorda, founder of the portal, has been active in the photovoltaics field since 2009 as an developer, investor, trader and fan of PV. In 2010 Jaroslav established the biggest testing centre for performance of PV modules in the Czech Republic.

During 2010-2015 Jaroslav was working as a Sales Manager for the world ś biggest B2B brokerage platform www.PVxchange.com where he was responsible for sales of PV modules and inverters in CEE region.

Inspired by Energiewende and incoming boom of Energy Storage and Sector Sector coupling Jaroslav established in 2015 Smart Energy Forum – the biggest conference and expo in Prague.

As an analyst and expert on PV he is frequently quoted on portals like PV-magazine.com or PV-tech.org. As a speaker he participates in major events like Energy Storage Europe fair in Dusseldorf or Intersolar in Munich.

Since 2020 Jaroslav is a consultant of the Czech Government on PV and Energy Storage. He was successful in providing new subsidy scheme for AgriPV and Floating PV in Czechia from 2021-2022.

Mission

Our mission is to provide impartial and relevant data related to the latest developments in the photovoltaics and energy storage. We focus on an observation and evaluation of the latest technology trends and news which we pass on to our readers.
